Why not just install a hose clamp around the top of the boot after installing some sealant on the inside of the boot? Now you’ll never have to caulk it again.
re: “caulk”… He’s actually using (Titebond) “metal roof sealant” designed for this.
@aaron urban I would use a high grade automotive sealant.
Placing automotive sealant between the base and the metal roof would also create a seal that would last for 30 years. With these types of connections, the days of needing caulk are over.
I don’t comment on youtube, at ALL but this is a great trick thanks so much for sharing it.
