This information is out dated or wrong.
Lucky Cactus thank u for clearing,,what s the best type of roof do you recommend? We’re about to get new roof and the architect suggest the asphalt so Im doing my research now
ImproveNet I would take this video down it isn’t doing anyone any good this information is all over the place. This price here is square foot this price here is per square. What is the difference between 8 dollar per square foot and 800 dollars per square. The answer is nothing it’s the same price. Please redo this video. Love the graphics the voice is perfect just need a lot better information. Also there are way better materials out there like edco metal shingles that last way longer and are way safer and lighter to use. they have a 50 year warranty just on paint fade. And are way cheaper then slate or shake shingles. And last 3 to 5 times longer the asphalt shingles.
ImproveNet East Coast or West Coast national average 7 to 8 dollars per square foot For asphalt shingles alone. As for the fly over states it 3 to 4 dollars per square foot for basic asphalt shingles. So for a slate roof your looking at no lower then 8 bucks per square foot at the lowest .So your 1.89 to 2.72 per square foot is way off . Not to mention slate roofing is not even a good idea in 2019.
