Great intro 🙂
Jay Bates – Woodworking Videos love the support in the woodworking community. Are you considering your own build? Would love to see that project.
Hello. What kind of roof is this? I wish you the best of luck in building your project.
WOW* very nice work 🙂
Мило)))))
yes mama you have an incredible daughter…
Yup. Great job mama and papa–she’s a smart one!
First thing I thought of.
Your mom is so adorable.
April! You must just be exploding inside.
Pinch yourself! 3000 sf. Play room. I’m jealous…. but you’ve earned it..
I’ll say again, congrats…love the build videos and I can see your excitement.
Look at this space for activities!
It’s not only the square footage, but the volume is amazing. Will be great if you have to work on any dirigibles. 😛

What greg said.
plus its good exercise 🙂
Love the videos. You show honesty and humility in what you are doing. You’ve got a new subscriber!
These videos are so good April! Really hitting it out of the park.
Aw thanks. They take a lot of time that’s for sure, so I’m glad y’all are enjoying them.
Your mama is delightful. Where is the electricity coming from. I did not see any lines?
It’ll be underground, I presume?
You could also run an air line back to the garage so Cody doesn’t have to run his own compressor right next to the house. Not to mention a water line at the same time.

Liam speaks for me too! I never thought I’d say it, but I wish I was a female wood worker now 🙂
Loving this series April, very inspiring. I’m sure many of us are living vicariously through you, as we dream of building our own shops one day…
Elizabeth A Mizdail her Mama must be full of electricity
You and your mom are so much alike. She’s awesome, too!
Your shop is exciting! I’m jealous!
Love that you had your mom do the intro!
Looks great, fine job. One question, though. Where’re the skylights? I miss these the most in my 2600 sqft shop.
Or at least high windows on the gable ends. Not too late.
I have an attorney who litigates water damage caused by leaking skylights. Pretty specialized. He says all skylights eventually leak.
Amazing workshop, but I think I’d have more windows for more natural light. MMmmm missed the post about filming, guess that makes sense.
CrankyPants
Excellent points. A lot can be done efficiently with electric lighting now days. No extra holes to leak.
Lindsey Johnson In addition to what upside downdog said, the beating that they’d take from the diabolical hail that we get in Texas wouldn’t make them worthwhile unless you were desperate for them, which she apparently wasn’t. Also, since that’s her filming studio, she probably wants consistent, reliable lighting that she has total control over.
Lindsey Johnson
I understand the need for light but I have worked in older hangars with them, and the extra holes just meant water leaks down the road. If done properly they definitely add a good amount of light, I have just never seen it myself.
Wonder Woman isn’t a fictional character after all. Your parents have every right to be proud! Amazing! Love it.
Bless her heart, she’s adorable.
I agree with your mom “your really something!” Impressive job !
I love the DRZ. Great job April and crew. Mom gets a 10 rating for the intro.
Your mom literally just choked me up. She is adorable! Just like you! Thanks for being such an inspiration!
I loved the intro. Send my regards to your mother! She seems to be a very happy Texan (if I’m not wrong haha).
