In this episode, we begin building the roof deck for the center section. Everything was looking great until we hit a little speed bump with the plywood… You will also see us start water sealing where the shipping containers meet the upper walls.
Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! It really helps out the channel:)
I love her laugh. She’s always laughing, and it makes me smile.
They are a marvellous couple, both evenly tempered and of like mind and spirit.
Sometimes I just don’t get her non stop laughing… hi hi hi hahaha constantly.
“Do it romantically!” LMAO! You guys are so funny!
I was laughing uncontrollably when Spencer was lifting her up, the more she laughed, the more I laughed!!
You two are a perfect couple. All I can do is laugh when you tell your jokes. I think the episodes should be longer. Make sure you do a bloopers episode. Keep up the good work.
Never have I seen a couple get on so well together during such a building operation. You deserve the best, thanks for your continued humour.?
My wife and I have had this very kind of relationship for the past 43 years together. We reflect over and over on our adventures, trials and successes with fondness. It wasn’t so much the projects we completed but the experience of the journey. Thank you. You have given an old man a great gift to reflect on those things that made our lives wonderful.
Beautiful ❤️
Wow this was huge, finally where you are at now. I can see why so emotional. I applaud you both, and as usual continued success. Keep it a Rockin!
Really proud of you two. Going from nothing, to a nearly done house. Congratulations.
AsTheWheelsTurn I was talking about as far as the outside goes, but you are right.
long way from almost done. they still have like 90% of the work to do and its all more finished type difficult stuff.
Looking great you two. I love the videos.
McKinsey is whacked ? to too funny ?… Keep having fun!!!
Put your ice and water shield on
Trust us, we want to so badly! But with the ice and water shield you have to wait until the plywood is dried out to prevent trapping moisture.
That plywood swelled up and curved because you missed the rafter when you were nailing… .Will do that with a lot of rain.. Nail the piss out of it and move on..lol
That’s when you use a screw
nails and screws are not more powerful than nature… or thermal expansion.
Learning experience always have to dry it in but all in all great job on this project
maybe a sheet of regular ply got in with a batch of marine ply
Get that roof covered! Tar paper or tarp
synthetic FTW
You really have to cover the raw plywood with 15lb.or 30 lb. felt or ice dam shield right away! Not letting it get rained on is important for no delaminating. as soon as the deck goes on, drip edge and cover it!
@black88lx Because they are young and dumb. No one would be able to tell them anything. Just the fact that they never tied the rafters to the top plate as suggested several times tells you something….
Also they didn’t need to replace the sheet that “swelled”. A simple cut with a skilsaw on the middle of the bulge and it’d lay flat again.
Should have just continued zip all the way to the roof.
Good advice!
Guy Fawkes, what is the Iraq area you are referring to? Unless your bare plywood structures were in the mountains of Iraq, they had minimal rain exposure.
@Guy Fawkes we used 3/4″ OSB floor decking for those platforms, not 1/2″ cdx plywood. Big difference.
all you had to do was put a couple screws in to get the bow down. Probably be the last time that wood gets wet. Not gonna hurt a thing
love watching you two but please drip edge and tarpaper that roof asap.
Spencer I think she liked it a little too much when you lifted her up
2 much booty n dem pants lol
Low key freaks ! Its all good
Watching McKensie pull those plywood sheets on to the top of the container, and watching Spencer pick her up and put her on the center roof section, I couldn’t help but think “he-man and she-woman, the perfect couple”. You guys are great. I always look forward to your next video. I just wish I could afford to be a patron. Right now I can’t, but you are in my prayers and I am confident you will prevail no matter what happens.
❤️❤️❤️
Tarps tarps I see tarps in your near future!!! Put tarps up until you get your roof on!
It will be okay…settle down
You guys are doing an amazing job with the house, I’m always waiting for the next episode right after watching the newest one ??
“Okay, that one I definitely loosened for ya.” My mother used to say that when I was a kid. I think Oola used to say that to Og in the Paleolithic period.
