In this episode, we begin building the roof deck for the center section. Everything was looking great until we hit a little speed bump with the plywood… You will also see us start water sealing where the shipping containers meet the upper walls.

My wife and I have had this very kind of relationship for the past 43 years together. We reflect over and over on our adventures, trials and successes with fondness. It wasn’t so much the projects we completed but the experience of the journey. Thank you. You have given an old man a great gift to reflect on those things that made our lives wonderful.

You really have to cover the raw plywood with 15lb.or 30 lb. felt or ice dam shield right away! Not letting it get rained on is important for no delaminating. as soon as the deck goes on, drip edge and cover it!

@black88lx Because they are young and dumb. No one would be able to tell them anything. Just the fact that they never tied the rafters to the top plate as suggested several times tells you something….

Also they didn’t need to replace the sheet that “swelled”. A simple cut with a skilsaw on the middle of the bulge and it’d lay flat again.
Should have just continued zip all the way to the roof.

Watching McKensie pull those plywood sheets on to the top of the container, and watching Spencer pick her up and put her on the center roof section, I couldn’t help but think “he-man and she-woman, the perfect couple”. You guys are great. I always look forward to your next video. I just wish I could afford to be a patron. Right now I can’t, but you are in my prayers and I am confident you will prevail no matter what happens.
