Good work Tim, looks great. Having done it yourself you’ll look at every other new roof now to see how they’re done, and it might surprise you (or not!) to find out you’ve done yours better than most. Keep slogging on!
This is the most well prepared cared for roof I’ve ever seen.
Unbelievable for your first attempt, a true inspiration to many out there that think a lot of the tasks that you tackle are way out of their comfort zone.
Well done ???
I’ve been a roofer for 38 years and I’m impressed you used some tricks that only experience teaches you. Somebody knows what there doing? absolutely brilliant I would work with you anyday?
Get a couple of old pillows under the ladder you have on the roof, if you end up breaking a slate or 2 with them double nailed & clipped it will be a nightmare to replace them.
Yes plus stops any scratches onto the slates, I use gloves on the top of mine as if I bring a pillow up I’d be tempted to go for a nap ?
Give yourself a big pat on the back. Fantastic work!
Great job. I applaud you for tackling this.
Great job you have done there, you should be very proud. Well done and well wear. Greetings from Ireland!
Good job Tim. Been looking forward to this. Did this some years ago as a DIY project and as long as you learn from others and take you time I found it amazing what you can achieve. Well done!
O gosh! I take my hat off to you for taking on such a task. It looks fantastic
I totally agree with most of the comments here. Your work is probably a lot better than most roofers. The attention to detail and also the prep work is outstanding. I still say you are insane. But I really admire you for doing it yourself.
Well done. I’m well impressed that you took the challenge to do this your self.
Have been waiting and checking on a daily basis, couldn’t wait to see the next instalment, amazing job, great attention to detail as always.
I’m planning on doing mine next year. I will save the vids for pointers ??
Looking fantastic, so well done as it’s a hell of a roof area to cover, look forward to seeing it completed. ?
Unreal, it’s a credit to you.
Hooks look good mate, well done.
Great job and for all you diy people when you hammer the slate hook into the wood hold the hook end down tight has you hammer it home. It keeps the tension to bring the slate down flat to the roof line?
I must say you are a BRAVE man doing this. The thought of myself makes me limp at the knees ?. Keep up the good work love watching the Chanel. Dan from Yeovil
