Wow, just wow. I think this series is much needed. I know that Howard County is known for being number one in a few areas of less than honorable activities, but it looks like you’re literally in a gold mine for content and business. It really is sad to see this sort of substandard work being so abundant, because you’re not dealing with people that have unlimited resources and many of these people have to go into debt just to pay for the first job; then having to have it torn off and reroofed will literally crush some people into poverty,, especially with the global economies being driven into the ground. We’re headed for some really, really hard times, such has never been before in all of history. My heart is heavy over this sort of blatant lack of care. I see you as an empathetic guy. I realize that you need to make a profit and you’ve said before that you’re not going to pay for someone else’s mistakes or negligence, yet do you find yourself wanting to help out these victims? I do. I wonder if there’s any kind of organization where people can donate to help victims get jobs like this done. If not, it would be a great time to see one surface to help those that are financially burdened. Sometimes it’s because someone wanted to go cheap and sometimes it’s because they were beguiled by scumbags. Either way it just sucks to see.

@Rich Linder Your Homeowners Insurance doesn’t insure the work of a contractor. They’ll deny your claim then put you on notice. If you don’t get it fixed, you’ll get cancelled. They wont insure a home with a defective roof.

I’ve actually seen some REALLY fast roofers that still do good work. They’re fast because of efficiency of motion. I bet they’re faster than the hacks that derped around with THIS roof. Packages get opened a certain way so they don’t have to flip and flop shingles around, they distribute them along a pattern so they’re not tripping over shingles, or running out of them, they’re not wasting trips up and down the ladder, not wasting time fixing things that they could have done right the first time – they plan their work, and work their plan.

Exactly, fastest roofer is always the most expensive because they don’t follow instructions and of coarse they finish and get there money and never even finished job , keep the bad workmanship videos coming , I use them to educate my clients when they tell me they have someone cheaper in price and they can jump on it right away ,,lol just means more reroofs and lots of repairs for us to cleanup

How is it guaranteed to fail after 15 years, I have replaced several roofs that outlived the warranty. The last one by 12 years, so it lasted 27 years and it was still not leaking . But I am not gonna lie it was worn out, ugly, faded , all the colors were different because of the age and the sun.

I owned a roofing company for 8 years and i would not put my name on that job unless i started completely over on it.. all it takes is to miss one or two raised nails for a potential leak.

I’ve always had that fear. I did my roof last year. Friends husband is the owner of a building company. He contracted out the roof with his roofing company of choice. Roofer is also manufacturer certified. Looked them up on manufacturer website.

I’m a carpenter, I used to do my own roofs but found it was nice to just get a qualified roofer to do it. As you say, check the company out first and go from there. I will not touch shingles anymore, standing seam steel all the way. Why do a roof twice. Good work though man, call em out 👊🇨🇦🇱🇷
