Mangalore tiles are the best. My house tiles in Mangalore are more than 40 years old. They are still strong in sun, rain. They are cool in summer. Yes they do break sometimes. But their positive points are more than current generation tiles

For people who want to use Mangalore tiles use minimum of 35° for slope for tiles to last long and also use paint (Asian Paints Apex tile guard) to increase life of the tiles.
